Data Deletion – AutoWriter

This page explains how to delete your data from AutoWriter, including data received from Google, Facebook, Instagram or any other platform you connected. You can ask for deletion at any time, even without an active account with us.

1. Disconnecting (stops new access)

• Inside AutoWriter: in Settings & connections, or on the connection's own screen, click "Disconnect". From then on we no longer use the access token.
• In Google: on your Google account permissions page, choose AutoWriter and click "Remove access".
• In Facebook and Instagram: in Facebook settings, go to Security and login, then Apps and websites, choose AutoWriter and click "Remove". You can also tick deletion of what the app posted.
• In Microsoft: on the Apps and services page of your Microsoft account, remove AutoWriter.

Disconnecting stops access but does not by itself delete data already received. To delete, continue to the next step.

2. Deleting the data

• Deleting the whole account: inside AutoWriter, on the subscription page, click "Close account". All data, including articles, images, landing pages, leads and connection tokens, is permanently deleted after 30 days. You can change your mind within those 30 days.
• Deleting without signing in, or deleting specific data only: email office@autowriter.biz with the subject "Data deletion request", from the account's email address. Say what to delete: everything, or data from a specific platform such as Facebook or Google.
• Visitors who left details on a business's landing page: contact that business, or us at the same email, and we will pass the request to the business and help handle it.

3. What happens after the request

• We verify that the request came from the owner of the data and confirm we received it.
• We carry out the deletion and send confirmation within 30 days at most.
• Data the law requires us to keep, such as payment and accounting records, is kept only as required and used for nothing else.
• Copies in the encrypted backups are deleted in the backups' regular rotation.

4. Good to know

• Deleting with us does not delete content already published on your site or social networks. Delete that content on the site or network itself.
• Download a backup of anything important before closing the account.
