The World Health Organization suggests at least 150 minutes of moderate activity per week for adults, plus strength work on two days. It sounds like a lot, yet it breaks down into small, manageable daily pieces.

Q&A

You asked, we answered

How many rest days do I need each week?
Most beginners do well with two to four rest days. Muscles adapt during recovery, not during the workout itself. Light activity such as walking or stretching on rest days is fine. If you feel unusually sore or exhausted, take an extra day.
Should I stretch before or after training?
Before training, use a short dynamic warm-up such as leg swings, arm circles and light bodyweight moves for five to eight minutes. Save longer static stretching for after your session, when muscles are warm and more receptive to lengthening.
How long until I notice results?
Many people feel more energetic and sleep better within two to three weeks. Strength gains usually show within four to six weeks, and visible body changes often take eight to twelve. Steady training, sleep and balanced eating all speed up progress.
Quick guide

Build a Simple Weekly Routine

  1. Choose three days that realistically fit your schedule, and write them down.
  2. Pick a short session length you can keep even on your busiest days.
  3. Combine one strength block with a few minutes of intervals each session.
  4. Track every workout in a notebook or app to see your progress.
  5. Review after four weeks and add a little weight or time.
